Spell Check
Are Spells Real? Can one Cast a Spell?
The Answer is.....Absolutely! Some of You are gonna laugh. Some are gonna Leave. Some folks are gonna get Angry! Most will just say No! So here we go.
Spells are done and have been done since the beginning of time. Before you tune me out, Hear me out. Witchcraft, wicca, Pagans...ANY so called Mgic Outfit are not the Only Practitioners of Such. In fact, ALL Beliefs cast Spells! Thats Right...Islam, Jewish, Wicca, Pagan, Native American, Voodoo, Hoodoo, Santaria, Catholism, and Every Other Belief........And Yes...Christianity! I just lost a couple of ya...Go On! You are saying, this woman is crazy........thats beside the Point, its Truth. Its called Intent! First of All, I am not gonna draw a Parallel between the Faiths....but i will use a few verses from the Bible to back me up. Because thats where I will get the Most Resistance.
1 John 3-15
Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
Matthew 5-28
But I say unto you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful INTENT has Already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Proverbs 18-21
Death and Life are in the Power of the Tongue, those who love it shall eat its fruit.
Now, first of all...the first two verses do not mean that You have a Hateful thought and you wind up in jail cuz someone drops dead. Nor does your wife or husband need to know you had a lustful thought and you get divorced. You are a Human...it happens! But there is a difference between hate and HATE, hate that literally Vibrates and Makes your Blood feel Cold and Black! And LUST that literally leaves you in a Big Puddle of "WHEW"! You can feel it and You dwell there and either you act on it....or You speak it so much with Deadly Intent that the Universe stands up and Listens! Gone Unchecked...Yep, You can shake What You Never meant to Stir! Thats what those verses mean.
The Power of the Tongue! The Most "Magickal" and sometimes Evil thing that ever was Created! Lookey here......Parents cast Spells on their kids everyday. Now some do not mean to. they just say dumb things and it really does not amount to much. But Some Literally Curse their Children and as I say, gone unchecked it is a Catastrophic EVIL thing! Ever heard someone say to their child "You Gone be Just Like Your Daddy....You Ain't Never Gonna Amount to Anything", or "You Gone be a Slut, just like Yo' Momma"....theres more but you get the point! This is a Mantra Pronounced over this Childs Head their Entire Childhood! Gone Unchecked, Book It......its a DONE DEAL! You have Cast a Spell over that Being, like it or not! Mostly Because You Have Convinced that Child and Your Intention at Full Strength Will Prevail! Wicked People Prey on the Simple and Weak Minded with Brutal, Bullying Verbal Assaults and Gone Unchecked...Man...that stuff can go Lethal!! Fear Mongering Authoritative People of Power can Literally Cripple Other Folks who cannot tell the Difference in Shepharding and Abusive Control! It Goes on and on!
And Yes, it is in EVERY Faith! Any Group of Peoples can and DO Casts Spells through this thing called CURSES! Out of Bitterness, Hate, Hurt, Unforgiveness (whether justified or not) can Literally Curse Lands, People, Business, Countrys etc. I personally think it can be overcome, just as I believe Karma has limits, but it IS Real! And if a Person has Crack in the Door, a Weakness, and Open Window.....all the More Easily Done! In fact, Most Wiccans etc, that I have known are more Careful of This Any Other Faith...the Rede, Law or whatever you wanna call it, they do not want it back! There are Some Idiots, like in any group......the ones that wanna be all "Look at Me...I will Rock Your world"! They Mess their Own Selves up!! But as I have said...Again...Gone Unchecked..it Can Be Horrible!!
These are not in Depth enough and I could go on for days...but the Point I am tryin to make is Yes, it is very Possible to cast a Spell!
Be Careful what You Speak over your Kids! Understand that Hate is a Very Magickal Weapon! Understand that You Can Altar Your life with ANY Overwhelming Passion! For it Will Shift Things! If in No Other Way...it Will Shift You

Rare Pearl part 3 (The Awakening)
Started so long ago, did it not
my tired old eyes and their lines
may have missed a memory or two
Now that magic is so hard to find
I remember so well...all the leading
all the waiting and baiting and chill
while the Rarest of Pearls was in cover
and the Precious was pulling your will
Precious and Soft and Enchanting
the dreaming that kept you Alive
and the Love that was stronger than Time
kept your Beautiful, Sweet Hope Revived
That Pearl was the Pure and You Know This
and the rhyme of the Slow,Moving Song
they were All in that Room in the Fragrance
and from the Corner You started to Long
You would hide there in Mist and in Darkness
and sort out the Lyric of Me
Two So, So Longing for Love that
no other Dark Eye could foresee
a Passion so Great would stay Hidden
and covered in pages of Ice
while sideroads of Life were then taken
to places that were not so nice
and that Pearl.....well....its faded somewhat now
and the Rarity....well....not so New
and theres Dust and theres Lines and theres Weariness
for the Pearl has been searching for You
And it does not matter about all
the Hateful and Meaningless Words
that pushed and distorted a LoveSong
that never, ever got to be Heard
Its placed in a Box in White Satin
and it sits on a Pillow of Lace
it will stay there and regain its Precious
until it can See Your Sweet Face
Now come out of Your Corner from Hiding
Come out from Your Corner to Me
the Rare Pearl is waiting for Sweet Flight
and that Song can finally Fly Free

The Thrown Away
We are a throw away society. Now the world would have us believe that our Country is the worst at this, but truth is, its the whole world. We are definately good at throwing away and making too much of a mess with everything from food to plastic to ...well you name it.
But I am not talking about things. I am talking about people. When did we become so full and hateful that we have the audacity to decree that someone is not worth a smile or a word...something.
I guess one place that I'm going here is toward folks in prison or jail. At a church I used to attend, I had a couple of friends ( good strong folks) that had a prison ministry. I use to go with them and sing ( I sing..I'm not a speaker). Anyway, the thing that always struck me and warmed my heart was the response. These were men who had all different types of stories. You know what the only thing that mattered was that someone was treating them like a legitimate, worthy of respect human being. They would reach their hands through the bars and we would hold them. You don't know what that does for someone until you see it and feel it. They look at you like"You mean your not afraid to touch me". I found that people in that situation are the most Thankful. They are so glad someone is not so down on them that they won't even acknowledge them..that they are so very thankful and appreciative of your time and effort. In the the same jail though was the (womens room). I say room because they didn't have this place set up to house alot of women. So they piled as many as would go without bursting the walls out, in this tiny little cell. And unlike the mens side, which had all the room in the world to walk back and forth, this was just a little room with a hole in the door. A friend of mine would set on the floor and play guitar and sing and commune with these women. You would talk to a face staring through a hole...sad. But you know what, these women were so glad that someone was showing them love. That they were being treated like Viable person instead of a piece of lint.
You see it all the time. People who are so broke down and weary of being treated like mess. In the schools of course, its about how you look and what you have. But there are some that just do not fit in anywhere. Sometimes this is from their own making. But alot of the time its simply from that old exclusion thing. "Your too fat", "Your Ugly", "Your Dumb", "Your too Smart", "Your too Poor", "Your Weird ".......the list goes on and on. The thing is, people get tired and weary. Sometimes they just crawl into their own cell and stay there because its safe. As long as they don't make waves and try to be involved they won't be noticed and hence, they won't be hurt. And guess what, they too become lonely while the world does not even bother to notice. Another Cell without Bars.
I worked in a Nursing home for 15 years. I did Home Health before that. I've seen it all. The biggest thing I would have to say and the hardest thing is to see someone come in with a spirit of "I'm leaving this place" and watch that decline and go away over time. I have seen people that I love and will always have in my heart. And I have seen people who were not nice ( and I will say that they were always that way, it wasn't an age thing in some cases). But the thing I saw was that a Touch on the cheek, or a Hug.....or just simply listening with the heart made more of an impact than anything. Listening (not really understanding what was being said) but listening and acting like what they were saying was Valid...well, thats just a form of medicine I think. They are becoming the New Throw Aways. Their gray hair and their life experience doesn't mean Jack now. They deserve better than just shipping them off on Iceberg to die. Just a little kindness, a little compassion. Respect is free...and they deserve some i believe. I am not going into the State Mandates and the Insane Regulations in this blog, thats for another time. Except to say that they are 90% of whats wrong with this industry. But I will say that Love and Compassion goes a long way in Validating these Precious people that cannot speak for themselves.
When did we become so cold that we don't see Hurt anymore. We don't!! Its all around us. People giving up everyday.
I watched a program the other night about these prisoners who were trying to steer some kids another direction. These were women who were tough as nails and had their own story of where they went wrong. Face value told you they were Ice Cold. But then you would see little windows in some of them..the worst of them. Someone can appear to be Soul less...but you see tears coming out of them when they reach out to help someone...and You Know. You know that their Soul, their Heart is very much alive. And by respecting these people enough to say "you are a valid person" and treating them as such, I think is more constructive than anything.
I guess what I'm rambling on about here is that Everybody deserves respect. At the very least...Respect. If you see a poor lost soul sitting alone....make eye contact if you can and just convey your interest in just knowing they do exist. Smile if you can , but just acknowledge that they are human.
There are Cells everywhere. They all do not have metal bars. And I'm not Pollyannish enough to think that we all float around and make everything perfect. No. All I'm saying is that Nobody is Unworthy of at least Reaching out to in some small way.

Buttercups in the Snow
Have you ever seen Buttercups (Daffodils), or any flower for that matter, peeking up through the snow? Its pretty awesome right? I mean, the cold has been freezing your reactions to daily same ole, same ole. But then, you come upon this little thing trying its best to pierce its way out of Frosty Darkness to burst some Colorful Beauty into our lives. I think thats amazing!
Sometimes you will see one slightly bent by the weight and the cold, but its still trying its best to push through and stand up. Sometimes they are in a bunch, or sometimes they bloom one at a time. Yet, they push and push their light and yellow through the cold. I love Buttercups!! In fact, they are my favorite flower of all. White Roses and Lilac are next. But Buttercups are here so very brief and their beauty is so wonderful that I am in total awe of them. Buttercups are not quitters! They do not give up until there is absolutely no life left
in them. Being human..we can learn alot from nature.
Sometimes the world is so bloody cold and indifferent that it literally bends you or folds you. Sometimes the arrows of Ice fly from every direction. It Hurts!! And like I have always told my daughter....Hurt Hurts! It does not matter what kind of pain it is or what has caused it. Never diminish or laugh at someones pain, no matter how lame you think their pain is!
We tend to lean towards giving up sometimes. I don't think it comes from giving up for the sake of giving up, but from just being tired.....weary. Most of the time we will just get up and keep going out of some obligation ( job or family). Thats good!! At least for the moment it keeps our focus in line. But I think there is more. I think that in each one of us is a fighting spirit of Hope that just refuses to stay down. I think that we are built to keep on keeping on. We, like the Buttercups, push that Light, Sunny Beauty through the Ice.
Yes....I know that many times people do give completely up. And that is the Most Sad thing that can happen I believe. Because, we can never, Never do that!! While we are here we can never do that. As long as there is Breath, there is Hope. And the Beauty of Gods creation bares witness to this. It keeps pushing through. Another thing is, and probably the most wonderful thing about these flowers is that when they have bloomed their last for the season, they are cut down by mowing etc. But thats not the end!! As long as the root is in the ground planted...they come back! They keep coming back! Even after someone cuts them down, they come back in the Spring. No matter how many times the Ice cuts into your heart and even brings you down.....Get Up!!
In my Blogs and in my Poems and Lyrics ( at times) you will come to the conclusion that I am probably simple and sometimes childish. I am. And thats me. I probably won't change. But what if we can see within ourselves a similarity to the creation around us. Hope, Dream, Push, Live, Breathe and Love!!
After all look at the little Buds peeking through the Snow......They ain't giving up. So don't you!

Mustard
Sooo....I guess that Mustard IS a Very Good Thing. I've known this for years of course. When everyone else had their Mayo and Tomato, or their Mayo and Ham etc., I was splattering mustard on everything. I remember the childhood days when the Friday Night Life consisted of grabbing food from L.G.'s. Now L.G.'s was a Wonderful little greasy spoon where I lived. Ahhh...I can still smell that delightful smell. And the main attraction was something called Slugburgers. YUM!! Its kindof meal and ...well..mostly meal...and grease lol, with a little speck of meat. Anyway, his was the Best!
It was me, my two sisters and my Momma. My dad had to work at night. We would go and get this delightful Friday Feast and take it home. My Mom and one of my sisters would get (slugs) as they were called and my other sister would always get a slaw dog and a BBQ. I would always get two (yea, thats right two) slugs with pickle, onion and mustard....EXTRA Mustard. The grease and the mustard would literally run down my arms. How can I describe this to someone from up north....hmmmm.....I can't. Trust me though it was Awesome.
My Love affair with mustard has always been slightly extreme though, always putting it where most say it should not be. I put it noodles, on cheese and crackers, make mustard and cheese sandwiches. But today...uh huh.... I saw a commercial speaking of the many uses of my Beloved M. It even called for a little bit to be used in Mac and Cheese to give it a little something. Hence.....this wonderful and wacky blog.
Hey, try some on a veggie dog. And ya wanna splatter it on til it just runs out everywhere Yum, yum, yummy!!
Until the next time, which won't be long because my mind never quits
Love, Light, Hope and Peace to you all
